7 weeks of Kindergarten

What can the typical child do after 7 weeks of kindergarten? Recognize letters, numbers, their name... write their name perhaps? Nicolas could do all of those things before he started Kindergarten because he went to pre-K. But what's something you would never think? Adding and subtracting? He does that. And he's good! What else? Reading? Did you say reading? Can all kindergarteners read after 7 weeks of school? Well, Nicolas can!! He read not one, but two books today!! Hop on Pop and Are you My Mother. That must be why he's one of just two students picked to be "Student of the Month" in his class!! Tomorrow there is a little "thing" at his school that I get to go to and take pictures. I will be sure to come back and report. :)
